Bhaashaa Pustakghar

This is a model with mobile libraries and interactive centres in rural, remote, and underprivileged areas in Maharashtra, working for the preservation of reading habits and readership among the younger generation. We provide them with books of various types and genres to promote reading. This initiative has been run in and around Pune.

Teachers’ Training Activities

Bhaashaa has been undertaking these activities in Rural & Urban Maharashtra. We also organized workshop for pre-school teachers, book donations & awareness creation activities in Maldives, Scotland & South Africa.

Yakshaprashna

Bhaashaa has been hosting a state-level interschool quiz competition (2011-present) where school children from all over Maharashtra participate after a thorough reading and research of a few months on the topics provided by us.

The upcoming edition of Yakshaprashna is happening on the 3rd December 2023. 

Marathi Bhaashaa Olympiad

The first regional language Olympiad examination in India, annually organised for students in Maharashtra and Goa. Around 25000 children have participated in this exam in past 8 years. The upcoming edition of Olympiad 2023 is happening from 23rd to 28th October in 50+ schools across Maharashtra and Goa.

Chitrangan

This is a special film festival for children organised in association with Children’s Film Society of India (CFSI), showcasing various National and International films.

Jantarleli Mantargani

A research-based multilingual song & dance program built on the poetry of masters. Presented by children and is performed all over Maharashtra

Telling a Tale

In this unique initiative, the elderly participants tell stories to children, thereby deepening the liking towards language by way of storytelling. Eminent personalities like Deepa Lagu, Ninad Bedekar have participated and interacted with children through this activity.

International Academic Conferences

Through these conferences, academicians, educationists, research scholars, school teachers, language students, practitioners, story lovers explore various facets of the topic through

Bhaashaa has organized Four International Conferences so far (2011, 2012, 2014, 2016), in collaboration with eminent like minded organizations like Sahitya Akademi and National Book Trust.
The upcoming conference is scheduled for 1st and 2nd December 2023.
